- Maa Tara Tarini Temple is an ancient Shakti Peetha perched atop Kumari hills near the Rushikulya River in Ganjam district. The temple underwent major traditional Kalinga stone reconstruction completed in 2022. It has been venerated for centuries as a premier Tantric center of Southern Odisha.

- Maa Tara Tarini Temple is recognized as one of the four major ancient Adi Shakti Peethas, marking where Goddess Sati's breasts fell.
