• We collect information you provide, including name, email, phone number, account details, learning activity, payment-related details, and information submitted for Anushtanam, Panchanga, Kundali, or eGurukul features.
• When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier.
• If you grant access to a Google integration, we use Google user data only for the user-facing feature you requested.
• We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it except as described in this policy and permitted by Google policies.
• You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent by contacting support@gyaandweep.com.

Information You Provide

We may collect the following information when you create an account, use the platform, make a payment, contact us, or participate in platform activities:

• Name, email address, phone number, username, and contact preferences
• Account credentials, stored in hashed or encrypted form where applicable
• Billing address, shipping address, payment status, and transaction references
• Learning progress, saved chants, playlists, discussion posts, comments, and user-generated content
• Date of birth, time of birth, place, gotra, nakshatra, sankalpa, and related details when submitted for Panchanga, Kundali, Anushtanam, or spiritual services
• Support requests, feedback, form submissions, and communications with us

Sensitive Information

Because Gyaandweep is a Vedic and Sanskrit learning platform, some information you provide may reveal religious, philosophical, or spiritual interests. We process such information only when you voluntarily provide it, when it is necessary to deliver the requested service, or when permitted by applicable law.

Information From Google Sign-In

If you register or log in using Google OAuth, we receive basic profile information from Google, including your name, email address, Google profile picture, and a unique Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device information, browser type, operating system, pages visited, features used, date and time stamps, referring URLs, approximate location derived from technical data, and crash or diagnostic information.

We process personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts, including Google Sign-In
• Provide Sanskrit, Vedic learning, eGurukul, discussion, Panchanga, Kundali, Anushtanam, and related services
• Process payments, bookings, subscriptions, donations, refunds, support, and service fulfilment
• Send service notices, reminders, confirmations, security alerts, and support replies
• Improve platform functionality, content quality, user experience, security, and reliability
• Detect abuse, prevent fraud, protect accounts, and comply with legal obligations
• Send marketing communications where permitted by law and your preferences

Depending on where you are located, we rely on consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and vital interests. For users in India, we process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including consent-based processing where required.

We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us host, maintain, secure, analyse, and operate the platform
• Payment processors such as Razorpay to securely process transactions
• Google services for Google Sign-In, Google Analytics, and any Google integration you choose to use
• Delivery, communication, or fulfilment providers where needed for Anushtanam or physical delivery services
• Authorities, courts, or regulators when required by law or to protect legal rights
• Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice where required

We do not sell personal information or Google user data.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, secure the platform, analyse usage, improve performance, and support basic site functionality. Payments are processed through third-party payment processors such as Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers or payment authentication credentials on our servers. Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy and security policies.

Specifically, Gyaandweep:

• Uses Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are visible in our application.
• Does not use Google user data to serve advertisements, retargeting, personalised advertising, or interest-based advertising.
• Does not sell Google user data.
• Does not transfer Google user data except to provide or improve user-facing features, comply with law, protect security, complete a business transfer with notice where required, or when you give explicit permission.
• Does not allow humans to read Google user data unless you give consent for a specific purpose, it is necessary for security, required by law, or limited to internal operations using aggregated or anonymised data.
• Uses only the Google OAuth scopes that you authorise and limits use to the purpose disclosed during the consent flow.

You can revoke Gyaandweep's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account Permissions.

If you choose to connect Google Calendar or a Google Meet related scheduling feature, we may access calendar event details, dates, times, attendees, and meeting links only as necessary to schedule, manage, or send learning-session invitations requested by you.

We do not use Google Calendar or Google Meet data for advertising, and we do not access Google Drive, Gmail, or other Google services unless you explicitly grant the relevant scopes.

Calendar-related data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the scheduling feature or meet legal obligations. After account deletion or disconnection of the integration, calendar data associated with the integration will be deleted or anonymised within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal, accounting, tax, security, and dispute-resolution obligations, or fulfil the purposes described in this policy. When we no longer have a legitimate need to process personal information, we delete or anonymise it.

We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including HTTPS for data in transit, hashed account passwords where applicable, access controls, use of established payment processors, and restricted access to Google API data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, receive a copy of your data, or lodge a complaint with a regulator. Gyaandweep is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
