History
- Chapter 70 of the Kashi Khand places Vishwa Bhuja Gauri in the immediate vicinity of Vishalakshi Gauri. Represented as the multi-armed goddess worshipped by the universe, her shrine has been continuously maintained within the historic Mir Ghat precinct.
Significance
- Vishwa Bhuja Gauri ('the multi-armed mother of the universe') removes all roadblocks and grants success to her devotees. She is routinely worshipped during Navratri and the Nava Gauri Yatra for universal peace and individual welfare.
